Document Management

The ECMO (Electronic Case Management Order) or a functionally similar document, sets out the use and structure of the website for each case. The folder structure of each case is tailored specifically to the requirements of each case, allowing flexibility, and increased functionality.

 

Documents on CaseHomePage are organized in the same simple and easy to use manner in which a file cabinet in your office might be organized. One folder holds all of the correspondence, Another holds the Orders and Judgments. Another contains all Motions, Petitions and Applications. All replies, joinders and supporting or opposing documents to a given motion are filed in a folder with the underlying motion. Discovery documents are organized by responding/propounding party, or by plaintiff or defendant name.

 

Documents are also placed in our chronological folder called “Uploads by Date.” At the end of the day, all documents received that day are posted a second time, and organized by date/month/year.

 

Our “Search” feature allows you to search using keywords, document title, date or range of dates.

 

Most importantly, you can access your documents from any computer, in any location, at any time of the day or night. Message Board. Messages remain on the Message Board, and for the length of the case, allowing you to access a message that was posted days, months or years ago. Our Calendar allows you to keep all of the important events in one, easy to access location.
